Sunday, December 4
I have spent the last two weeks on my "Technician Module D" course for the London Ambulance Service, which included learning about administering entonox and oxygen, hefting a 50kg mannequin up and down flights of stairs, sticking things in people's noses and mouths to keep their airways open, strapping each other to orthopaedic stretchers and running off, and generally getting callouses on my hands and forcing my muscles to wake up and pay attention!
I was supposed to be doing my lorry driving this week but it turns out the company organising it are a bunch of berks and haven't sorted it for me, so I've got this week off and I'm gonna be either missing my placement next week to do it or sacrificing the first week of my Christmas holiday. Bah humbug indeed. But still, I guess I could do with the lie-in :o) °h°
